Yes, you will have admission in B.Tech under lateral entry if you are a student of B.Sc. You are liable to pass with at least 45% marks with a part of Mathematics that should be your course in B.Sc. So you may join directly at the second year B.Tech programme. This therefore, it will become three year programme. Different institutes, however, have varying admissions procedures, which could range from entrance exams, for instance, JEE Main, to state-specific entrance exams. Eligibility and procedure for application vary accordingly in particular college requirements.

Yes, If you have a rank of 5631 in Stream 1, secure 86 percentile in JEE Mains, and score 865 marks in your intermediate exam, then you would be capable of getting admission in B.Sc.The admissions are carried out on the basis of the entrance test marks and Class 12 marks. As the cutoff list changes every year, this profile may feel competitive, but actual confirmation requires contacting the university.

With a rank of 295792 in JEE Mains under the SC category, it is difficult to secure admission in that college in the Industrial and Production Engineering branch at NIT Jalandhar.Even with home state quota, the cutoff ranks are usually much lower. This time it is about 50,000 to 100,000 for SC category. Your rank is too high for this competitive branch.
