The selection criteria for B.E./B.Tech in Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Engineering College are that the students have to pass the 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) for candidates from the general category. For candidates from the reserved categories, there may be a relaxation in percentage. Admission is largely done through counseling of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, TNEA, where candidates are filtered through their rank in the TNEA and their cut-off marks. Alternatively, the management quota will be open for candidates according to the eligibility criteria set by the college.

Once the form is submitted, candidates get considered for counseling process through which seats will be assigned based on the TNEA cutoff. Primarily the entrance exam performance of candidates forms the basis of selecting them for B.E./B.Tech courses offered by A.R.J College of Engineering and Technology or ARJCET.
