Students seeking admission to NIT Puducherry M.Tech courses can take admission via GATE exam. The steps to apply for GATE are as follows:1. Go to the GATE 2025 registration portal.2. Rgister as new candidate. Generate login credentials.3. Login using credentials generated in the last step.4. Fill out the application form and pay the application fees. The GATE application fees 2025 is INR 1,800 for general and INR 900 for female/SC/ST/PwD.5. Submit the form.

NIT Puducherry offers various specialisations under its M.Tech programme. Some of the specialisations are Mtech in Computer Science Engineering, Electircal VLSI Design, and more. For all the specialisations, the institute offers an equal number of seats, i.e., 10. Combining all, the institute offers 70 seats for the M.Tech programme.

NIT Puducherry has defined its seat reservation policy for admission to its M.Tech programme. The instutute has reserved a only 3 seats for admission of SC/ST category students to its M.Tech courses. Moreover, these three seats are reserved only under certain specialisations.
