All those students who have completed all of their secondary school in a country where English is not the language of instruction, as well as students who have had less than 3 years of instruction in English, shall need to demonstrate English Proficiency. UCLA University looks for a competitive score above 100 in TOEFL, 7 or above on the IELTS, or a 120 or higher in the Duolingo English Test.

Yes, the knowledge of English language is mandatory for pursuing all the academic courses at Politecnico di Milano. Different programs have set different parameters for English proficiency. Also, at present (2022), international students will have to appear for an Italian language proficiency test who wish to study a course equal to 3-year B.Sc programme in Architectural Design and a course equal to 3-year B.Sc programme in Civil Engineering.

International applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate that they have a satisfactory level of English language to be eligible to study at the University of Chester. The university accepts English proficiency tests like IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE. In addition to all these English proficiency tests, the University of Chester also accepts country-specific in-country English language qualifications for entry to courses. Indian students are required to have a minimum of 75% in their 12th standard English across all boards.

If you're from a non-English speaking nation and do not have English proficiency proof, or have scores below the minimum set criteria, you may still be accepted at the university's Intensive English (ESL) programme before their degree course begins. But the admission will be conditional.
