University of the Fraser Valley's admission requirements for international students comprise of proof of proficiency in the English language as a major entry requirement. There is no restriction in the number of times a candidate can attempt to take the Duolingo English Test, but one cannot take it more than three times in a period of 30 days. Check details of the previous 30 days and count the number of times you've bought the same within those days in order to see if you can buy another test or not. Even if you fail this test multiple times you can make a re-attempt. But if the test taker is unable to improve or enhance his or her score even after many attempts, it would imply that the test is not helping them with learning. They should then try some other method to improve their language skills.

Duolingo score is based on a scale of 10-160. If you score more than 120 then it means you can understand written and spoken language. It signifies that you can use it for academic or professional purposes. The total score that is displayed in your result gives a basic picture of what one can do and one's proficiency in particular areas is measured by the subscores. After appearing for the test one will obtain the test results within 48 hours of attempting the same.

Yes! The Duolingo English Test is accepted for visas in the US as well as Ireland. For the UK and Canada, it depends on which method you use to apply. Traditional study permits require acceptance at a designated learning institution (DLI). If the institution to which you're applying accepts the Duolingo English Test as part of their application process, you may not have to take any other English tests in order to obtain a study permit. It is a myth that the Duolingo English Test is easier than TOEFL. This test is based on an adaptive algorithm that determines a candidate's level of English. While closely looking at the Duolingo English Test sample questions you can observe that they adapt to the candidate's level. The difficulty level of both of these tests is based on the preparation of the candidates and how polished their language skills are.

The fee for the Duolingo English Test is $59 (less than INR 5000). Those who wish to appear for this test can also purchase a test bundle, where two tests can be attempted by the test takers. The test bundle is available at a discounted price of $49 each (total $98). Purchase a test bundle if you wish to save money, and are not confident in achieving a high score on the first try.
