Dear Student, you need more than 60% marks to secure admission for a Ph.D. course in any branch. Depends on your category. It goes down. Entrance and 60% in masters are the minimum criteria for a Ph.D. also you will have to check the availability of a guide.

Yes,45% for General Category, 40.5% for OBC and for SC/ST/PWD category minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination of DU or at least the same % of pass marks at the qualifying exam as prescribed for the equivalent exam of DU. For those having CGPA under the CBCS programme the equivalence of marks will be as per DU guidelines.

It's only for the IIT admission student so if you are not in IIT Delhi you can't get that course as it an additional subject given to students, so they can join the course as per their interest.
