For the teaching purposes, the University of Groningen utilizes both English and Dutch as both languages hold official status in Groningen. Additionally, depending on the specific requirements of each faculty, some subjects may also be taught in English. But international students are recommended to learn Dutch before going to University of Groningen as its helpful and essential to learn the country language.
