Job prospects for professionals with qualification in environmental engineering are bright in research centres, NGOs and various governmental departments working towards green development. Candidates with M.Tech in environmental engineering have opportunities to work for government built assessment committees which study and analyse the environmental risks involved in certain projects. The report of such a committee is then submitted to the concerned authority for further observation. Scholars with Ph.D. in environmental engineering can opt for teaching jobs in colleges and universities. B.Sc Environmental Science is a graduate level course that deals mainly with the study of environment. The duration of this bachelor level course is 3 years.
The course includes the study on the factors affecting environment and its associated ecosystem. Concepts of Biodiversity, Climatic change, Hazardous waste management, etc form part of the course study. Atmospheric pollution and its effect on environment are also included in the course curriculum of B.Sc Environmental Science.
Eligibility:-
Aspirants who have completed their HSC course successfully are eligible to apply for this course. The course study must be completed with Science as the major subject. The candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in 12th class examination from any of the recognized educational institutions. The selection procedure to this course is carried out on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination or through entrance tests.
Job or Career after Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science:-
One can find multiple career options after completing their bachelor's degree in environmental science. The candidate can seek jobs in various nongovernmental organizations that deal primarily with environmental protection. Pollution Control Boards and departments in urban planning are also in demand of these aspirants. Waste treatment industries and food processing firms often recruit candidates with bachelor's degree in environmental science. They can search jobs in fertilizer plants and textile mills also.
