You need to prefer good reference books which covers the complete syllabus and also contains previous years question papers. One of my friend cleared UGC NET in 2018 and she consulted catalyst for paper 1 and R Gupta for paper 2. The list of Books for UGC NET Environmental Sciences:

-Truemans UGC NET General Paper I book by M. Gagan
-UGC/Ars Net/Jrf Environmental Science by Rupendra Singh
-Trueman's UGC NET Environmental Science by Anil Tyagi
-CBSE-UGC-NET Environmental Science for Paper II Guide by Dr. B. Singh and Ravindra Pandey.

JB, This program is not available at G.H. Raisoni Polytechnic, Nagpur. However Diploma in Fire engineering full-time course of 2-years of duration is available here.
