Hi Pragati,
Job prospects for professionals with qualification in environmental engineering are bright in research centres, NGOs and various governmental departments working towards green development. Candidates with M.Tech in environmental engineering have opportunities to work for government built assessment committees which study and analyses the environmental risks involved in certain projects. The report of such a committee is then submitted to the concerned authority for further observation. Scholars with Ph.D. in environmental engineering can opt for teaching jobs in colleges and universities.

I don't think there will be any age boundation for admission in this course, as long as you justify the gap in your studies.
However, request you to contact the college officials for a better understanding before applying to this course.

In dtu the environmental engineering is being taught with the ratio of three branches of engineering mainly machanical, civil and environmental in the ratio 2:2:2 . Only few colleges in India provide this degree and dtu being one of the best assures you a job , which is pretty much the final goal. Moreover if you want to go for further studies then dtu has it's down advantage .
