The Union Public Service Commission revised the UPSC exam calendar after the inclusion of IRMS posts in the Engineering Service Exam 2025. The Commission will conduct the IES prelims 2025 exam on June 8, 2025, instead of February. The UPSC IES main exam 2025 will be conducted on August 10, 2025.

The application process for the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025 opened on September 18, 2024, with the first deadline being October 8, 2024. However, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) allowed both new candidates and current applicants to make the necessary modifications by reopening the application window from October 18 to November 22, 2024. The dates of the Main Examination and the Preliminary Examination are August 10, 2025 and June 8, 2025, respectively. Please visit the official UPSC website for the most dependable and current information.

The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the IES 2025 prelims exam on June 8, 2025. The Commission will release the IES 2025 admit card three weeks before the exam date. The Commission mention the exam centre details and the reporting time for the candidates. The examination schedule is already released by the Commission.It is expected that the IES admit card 2025 will be released by May 18, 2025.

The total number of vacancies notified in IES 2023 exam notification was 327. It was the highest in recent years. As per information released, the mechanical engineering branch has the highest number of posts and the civil engineering has the highest number of vaccancies in the IES 2023. There are chances of increasing the number of IES vacancies after the announcement of final results. The Union Public Service Commission notified 232 vacancies for the Engineering Service Exam 2025. The Commission did not mention the post-wise vacancies for the candidates. The number of IES vacancies are tentative only and can be change before the final result. The Commission accept the vacancy requisition from the concerned departments till the IES prelims exam that is till February 9 which means that the Commission will accept the requisitions from the departments till the mentioned date. In order to apply for the IES exam online candidates need to scan their photograph and signature. The candidates should note that the IES applications can be filled online only at the official website upsc.gov.in with all the necessary details and documents. The documents to be uploaded must be scanned and then be uploaded. Upload the documents and images which include photograph, signature in jpg/ jpeg format. And photo idenidentity card in PDF format. The documents have to be uploaded in the dimension and size specified. While uploading the documents make sure that they are as per the prescribed dimensions.

The documents required for the IES application include scanned images of photograph, signature and photo ID card. UPSC conducts the IES exam every year to recruit candidates for various specialised positions in the Union Government departments. The IES is a Central Civil Service and the candidates can be posted anywhere across the nation. The exam is conducted to recruit candidates for engineering positions for the various departments working under the Government of India. The UPSC released the IES 2025 online applications on September 18, 2024. The candidates are required to fill out the IES 2025 online application form online only.

The UPSC ESE 2025 applications are closing soon. The candidates should note that the IES 2025 applications can be filled online only at upsc.gov.in. The candidates should note that the Union Public Service Commission released the IES 2025 notification on September 18, 2024. Candidates will be required to pay the IES application fee as per their category. The fee exemption provided for the female candidates, SC, ST,  PwBD candidates is such that they do not wanted to pay any fees. On the other hand, other candidates must pay an application fee of INR 200. The fee can be paid online (through SBI Net Banking/ debit card/ credit card)
