At Centurion University of Technology and Management, the B.Tech CSE course has a better placement rate than the B.Tech ESE course. In the recent passing batch of B.Tech CSE, 70% of students were placed in reputable companies, with the highest package offered being INR 30 lacs and the lowest package being INR 17 lacs. For B.Tech ESE, the placement rate is not mentioned in the search results. Therefore, based on the available information, it can be concluded that B.Tech CSE has a better placement rate than B.Tech ESE at Centurion University of Technology and Management.

The Union Public Service Commission releases the Tie-Resolution principle in the IES cutoff pdf. The Commission mentions the following in the cutoff pdf: Wherever two or more candidates have secured equal aggregate marks in ESE the tie(s) have been resolved in accordance with the principles approved by the Commission, viz.(i) The candidates with more marks in subject/technical papers plus marks of Personality Test may be ranked higher;(ii) In case the total marks in the subject/technical papers plus marks of Personality Test are equal, thecandidate who is senior in age may be ranked higher.

The Union Public Service Commission conduct the IES prelims exam in offline mode. The Commission prepares the IES answer key and compare the answers of the candidates with it. With comparing, the Commission calculate the marks of the candidates by awarding 2 marks for each correct question and deducting 0.6 marks for each incorrect answer.The Commission arrange the candidates in order of their merit in their category. Yes, there is negative marking in the IES prelims exam. The Union Public Service Commission mention the quantum of negative marking in the official notification. The Commission also mentions the total mark of the question paper and the structure of the exam such as how many questions will be asked in the paper.The Commission also mention the negative marketing as the following:The penalty for the incorrect answer is one-third of the total marks assigned to the correct answer. The Commission assigns 2 marks for the correct answer. Hence, 0.66 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
