According to the syllabus of RPF SI the following subject-wise books are suggested:
1. General Awareness: To prepare for this subject, you can read any good GK book available on the market. Most students prefer General Knowledge books by Arihant, Pearson, or Lucent. This subject is mostly about the memorization of facts and data.
2. General Intelligence and Reasoning: To prepare for this section, read RS Aggarwal's Verbal and Nonverbal Reasoning or B. S. Sijwali and S. Sijwali's A New Approach to Reasoning. You need to study basic concepts in the initial period and later practice with any good mock test book.

3. General Knowledge about geography, history, political Science and psychology since it is a common paper for all of the above.
4. English.
