Yes, if the backlog has still not been cleared then a backlog has to be submitted. This will help universities the applicant has applied to understand the number of backlogs an applicant has and how it will affect the applicant's admission and performance in the course.

Yes, you can apply for a master's programme even if you have backlogs. However, some universities may require you to clear all backlogs before admission.

Yes, backlogs can be mentioned in your degree certificate or marks card. They show the subjects you failed and later cleared, giving an overview of your academic performance.

No, you have to sit for every subjects next year. Because if you failed the annual exam and missed the compartment exam as well, then that means you failed in that course for that year. But you can reappear for the course again and give the exam very next year and complete your course. If you fail in one subject for instance math but pass in the other five exams you qualify to be sit a compartment exam for the subject you failed in. Nevertheless, it is not obligatory to undergo the examination, but in achieving a better grade in that perspective, it is recommended to do so. Even if you avoid taking it, you are passed over all, but the failed subject will be shown in your transcript.

For the UP Board Class 12 compartment exams, you are allowed to appear for the exams in one or two subjects in which you did not pass. If you fail in more than two subjects, you will need to reappear for the entire board exam the following year

Yes.' Failure and Reappearance: Students who fail or do not appear for the Compartment exam will be considered 'FAIL' and must reappear according to the prescribed courses and syllabus.
