Exam Eligibility

For admission in Universities through CUET (UG) - 2025, the existing policies regarding quota, category, relaxation, reservations, qualification, subject combinations, preferences etc. of the respective University / Institution shall be applicable. For appearing in CUET exam there is no age limit, however, candidates will be required to follow the age criteria (if any) prescribed the university in which candidate is desirous of taking admission. As the eligibility criteria for admission may be unique for every University, the candidates are advised to visit the University website to which they are applying for their respective programs.Mere appearance in the CUET exam will not guarantee admission to the programme untill the candidates has:Studied subject (s) in majorFulfilled the subject combination criteria

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is the entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses at IITs, NITs, IIITs in Engineering, Science and other allied subjects. The detailed eligibility criteria of GATE are given below:Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree programme or who have completed any government approved degree programme in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2024.Candidates who possess certification from any of the below list professional societies are also eligible to apply for GATE however, they must ensure that those examinations are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/ UPSC as being equivalent to B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Arch./ B.Planning, etc. The Institution of Engineers (India) (IE)The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)The Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI)The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, including Polymer and Environmental Group (IIChE)The Indian Institute of Metals (IIM)The Indian Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIIE)Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India are also eligible. All such candidates must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or must have completed their Bachelor’s degree (of at least three years duration) in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities. Candidates pursuing or in possession of any higher degree will be allowed to appear for GATE 2024.Candidates must note that there is no age limit to apply for GATE.

In order to apply for Andhra Pradesh EdCET exam, candidates were required to have passed the qualifying exam with minimum 50% marks. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria were supposed to fill the application form by visiting the official website of the exam. Candidates can check the APEdCET eligibility criteria as per educational qualification below:Aspirants should have cleared/appeared for their final year examination for BA/ BSc/ BSc (Home Science)/ BCom/ BCA/ BBM at the time of APEdCET 2023 application form submission.Aspirants should have secured at least 50 per cent marks either in the bachelor’s degree, that is, BA/ BSc/ BSc (Home Science)/ BCom/ BCA/ BBM and/ or in the master’s degree in relevant subject or in a five-year integrated course in the relevant subject or any other equivalent qualification. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, that is, SC, ST, BC and physically handicapped, are eligible to apply for the exam if they have secured at least 40 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
