Exam Eligibility

Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria like age limit, educational qualification, percentage, etc. to apply for CUSAT CAT. Applicants are advised to check the CUSAT CAT eligibility criteria before filling application form. Look at the overview of CUSAT CAT eligibility criteria for BTech programmes from the table below. Course  Eligibility  Marine Engineering Secured 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognised Board. Studied in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in the qualifying examination. Secured minimum 50% in the English subject either in Class 10 or in Class 12 (applicable to all the categories). Candidates have to submit physical fitness and eye fitness certificates as well. The certificate should be obtained from Medical Examiners and approved by DG Shipping.  Naval Architecture & Ship Building Scored 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 examination or equivalent from Kerala Board or any other recognised Board. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics should be the compulsory subjects along with the other subjects in the qualifying examination. Obtain 50% in the Mathematics subject. Must have scored 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together. Instrumentation & Technology Obtained 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics when taken together in the qualifying examination. Obtain 55% in the Mathematics subject. Polymer Science & Engineering Passed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as an optional subject or any other equivalent examination with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised Board.  Secured 50% in the Mathematics subject. 

The eligibility criteria for KMAT (Kerala Management Admission Test) are as follows:The candidates should be Indian citizens.The candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The minimum duration of the degree programme should be three years.The general category candidates should have secured at least 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination. For SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward Classes) and SC/ST (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe) category candidates, the minimum required aggregate is 40%.Candidates who are appearing for the final year of their bachelor's degree examination are also eligible to apply. However, they must provide proof of qualifying the examination with the required percentage of marks at the time of admission.
