Yes you can give your improvement exam in 2025 as a private candidate without appearing for it in 2024. According to the CBSE rules a candidate who has passed an examination can reappear for improvement of performance in one or more subjects in the succeeding year only. This means you have the option to take the improvement exam in 2025 if you passed your board exams in 2024To register as a private candidate you'll need to fill out the application form usually available from September to October and submit it along with the required fee. You don't need to apply for both the forms.Since you have got a compartment you are requested to repeat the test and no improvement form need to be submitted.You just apply for RT that is enough because you need to clear the compartment and then if you clear so you can go for improvement in next year.
