NEET MDS, as the name suggests, in the entrance exam for the MDS courses in India. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is the conducting body of NEET MDS exam for admission to approximately 6,200 MDS seats under All India Quota. The scores of NEET MDS are accepted by dental colleges across India. Talking about the purpose of NEET MDS, NBE has stated, "NEET-MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MDS Courses under Dentists Act, 1948 (amended from time to time). No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to MDS courses. Qualifying NEET-MDS is mandatory for entry to MDS courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country."
