Yes you can apply for JEE Advanced. However, you will not be eligible for admisison to the IITs. As, candidates need to have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the year of first appearance in the Class XII exam to be eligible for admission ti the IITs.Candidates must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry being compulsory) and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.

Yes, definitely. Candidates will have to qualify JEE Main cutoff this year to be eligible for JEE Advanced exam. It does not matter if a candidate has qualified JEE Advanced last year or not. To be able to appear for the JEE Advanced exam this year, candidates have to qualify JEE Mains this year and register from the scratch for JEE Advanced exam using their JEE Main application number and other details.

Yes, indeed.  JEE Advanced is only an entrance exam to determine if you can seek admission or not. But for actually getting admission, one definitely needs to pay prescribed fees for that particular course selected. Candidates need to pay the tuition fees in IITs applicable as well as other fees as indicated by the IITs at the time of admission. This fee will vary from IIT to IIT and the candidates will need to pay the fees during the JoSAA counselling.

As per the JEE Advanced eligibility for admission to any IIT, candidates must have 75% marks in class 12 or must belong to the top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination. The top 20 percentile calculation will be done for all the required subjects in a single academic year only. Therefore, candidates appearing for improvement in Board examinations can EITHER appear in one or more subjects and secure 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC, ST, and PwD) after improvement, OR, appear for improvement in ALL subjects to be in the top 20 percentile of the corresponding academic year.
