Yes, but one can clear the IPM entrance exam right after the boards. It usually takes 2 to 2.5 months for preparation once the board results are out, if done effectively. The whole process of entrance examination is segregated into sections- quantitative ability, logical reasoning, verbal ability, and general knowledge.
