Yes, you can usually change your category in the JEE Mains form for your second attempt during the correction window. This window typically opens after the first session of the exam and allows candidates to make certain modifications to their application form, including changing their category. However, it's important to note that there might be additional fees associated with changing your category.

At 75, percentile its very difficult to get Electrical Engineering at NIT Hamirpur as the cuttoffs are quite higher. At you Percentile your rank would be somewhere around 2 to 2.5 Lacs in general categeory, But to get electrical in NIT Hamirpur you need something around 60k. Thre are chances, if you belong to reserved categeroies, such as SC, ST, OBC. For that you will have to check the cuttofs at Siksha or some other reputable sources. Visit Here: NIT Hamirpur Cutoff 2024 (Out): Check JEE Main Round Wise Cutoff Ranks @ShikshaAll the Best.

With 93 percentile most probably you can get theadmission there, but the branch that you would get depends on many things, such as the number of candidates, seats available in the college. You can expect a rank between 2000 and 3000.Approx cuttofs for each branch are as: BranchHome-State (Percentile)Other-State (Percentile)Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)approx. 90approx. 95CSE (Specialization)approx. 88approx. 92Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)approx. 84approx. 90Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)approx. 60approx. 75Mechanical Engineering (ME)approx. 50approx. 65
