You do not qualify based on eligibility criteria of the AFCAT exam. So you cannot apply for the same. For applying to the AFCAT exam, the minimum percentage of marks in 12th with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects is 50%. You should have a graduation degree from a recognised university for the Ground Duty branch with at least 60% marks. If you have made the decision of studying chemical engineering then ICT Mumbai would be the best option you could have. ICT  have an edge due to its specialised focus.ICT mumbai is way better than NIT Trichy for chemical engineering on most of the parameters if you are truly interested in chemical engineering .
