COMEDK is a state-level exam that allows entry to private universities, while KCET is required for admission to government colleges in the state. With an EWS rank of 34,000 in JEE Mains, admission to top NITS may be difficult, especially for highly competitive branches such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication. However, you may have a chance in lower-ranked NITs or in less competitive branches like civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering. Some of the NITs that you may have an opportunity to get into would be NIT Agartala, NIT Mizoram, NIT Meghalaya, or NIT Puducherry, all subject to the branch and year. Check the latest cutoffs on the JOSAA counseling website.
