Generally, E-MBA courses are general management courses and do not have functional specialisations, but few B-Schools give student flexibility to choose functional specialisations such as marketing, HR, finance, operations, etc.

They are not eligible unless the MBA is either part-time or a full time from an AICTE recognised university as AICTE does not recognise any distance learning program in management and engineering. However, you will be eligible to pursue PhD if your MBA is approved by distance education Bureau of UGC.

The global survey report by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) indicates full-time one-year MBA, executive MBA, and online MBA programs appear to be experiencing stronger application growth whereas full-time two-year, part-time, and flexible MBA programs worldwide are indicating declines this year.
