The first criteria is 2 years of work experience, then you can opt for executive MBA. If you have work experience, then you need to appear for CAT and XAT for IIMs and XLRI respectively. You need to score a good percentile for receiving calls from them. You need to clear WAT/ PI process as well.

Modular MBA doesn't exist in India. Only full time MBA exists, which is of 2 years and Executive MBA of 1 year duration for senior professionals with 5 years of experience.

Executive MBA is an intensive one year residential or distance learning or combination of residential and distance learning program created specifically for professionals with 5 years or more work experience. Executive MBA provides students with the same solid foundation in key management concepts and disciplines as a two year fulltime MBA.

If you have work experience then you can go for Executive MBA otherwise you can choose regular MBA. If you are working somewhere and doesn't want to loose your job then only go for distance MBA. E-MBA is beneficial for working and experienced professionals and regular MBA is also beneficial as compared to distance learning.
