Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University considers CUET-UG score for admission to BA LLB (Hons) programme. Common University Entrance Test is conducted in online mode at the national-level. The exam gives equal opprtunities to candidates during the admission process. In 2024, the CUET-UG cutoff for BA LLB (Hons) is 200.

There are a minimum of 37 and maximum of 74 seats in BA LLB (Hons) course of Faculty of Law BHU. Candidates are offered seat in the course based on CUET-UG score. Out of the total intake, some percentage of seats are reserved for reserved category candidates. There is 15% reservation for SC, 7.5% for ST, 10% for EWS, 27% for OBC and 5% for PwD.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for OBC and 40% aggregate for SC/ ST) can apply for Faculty of Law BHU BA LLB (Hons) programme. Aspirants appearing for finale examination can also apply. Besides, candidates also need to pass CUET-UG for admission to BA LLB (Hons). Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

Eligibility criteria is the minimum requirement that a candidate need to fulfil to seek admission. For admission to BHU BA courses, the candidate must be a Class 12 or equivalent exam pass from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate. In addition, the student should have studied the relevant subject as per the chosen specialisation. The age of the applicant must not be more than 22 years on July 1 of the admission year (the applicant should be born on or after 2nd July 2001).
