The recently updated cutoff for B.A. LL. The three-year B programme at the Faculty of Law, Calcutta University, on the other hand, requires general candidates to obtain at least 45 per cent marks from the best four subjects from the Class 12 board exam (like CBSE, ICSE). The cutoff is 40% for SC/ST and person with Disabilities. The selection process is based on the Common Admission Test and you might want to see if there are any updates or changes in the university's site as cut-offs differ every year.

Yes, the Faculty of Law, Calcutta University is a decent option for B.A. LL.B. Considered one of the oldest and best law colleges in India, it was established in 1909. It provides a good program, knowledgeable instructors, and many extra activities. So many successful lawyers and judges have graduated from this institution. Overall, it is a good choice for students in providing a solid basis for a career in law.

B.A. LL.B. offered by the Faculty of Law at Calcutta University maintains average placement records among the students. As per the information obtained from students various law firms come to the campus for recruitment and offer package of INR 15000 to 20000 per month. The college also offers internships with pays of approximately INR 2000 per month. Though the placement cell is not fully functional students have found placements in various government and private sectors . The university overall they provide 120 seats for B.A. LL.B. program, the candidate selection will be through Calcutta University Law Entrance Test (CULET-UG).

After completing LLM from University of Calcutta, Faculty of Law, the candidates can find jobs in both public and private sectors. The degree holders can work as legal advisors in government departments on important policy and legislative issues or as government policy analysts, analysing legal issues and assisting in developing public policy. The university has 42 seats for the LLM course. Faculty of Law, CU LLM seat allotment process is carried out through e-counselling. The seats are allotted based on the applicants scores in the CULET-UG examination. It must be noted that the mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

Yes, the Calcutta University law application form can be filled out in online mode. The eligible candidates can visit its official website to register and apply. Candidates have to first complete the registration and then login to fill out the appication form. All the details in the application should be filled out as per the official documents. It must also be submitted on or before the prescribed deadline.

The admission to the LLM programme is done on the basis of applicants scores in the Calcutta University Law Entrance Test (CULET-UG) scores. Candidates seeking admission are thus required to register and apply to take the test. Before filling out the form, aspirants must check out the eligibility requirements. Candidates who get shortlisted based on exam score have to participate in the e-counselling round. In this round, the seat allotment is done followed by which the fee payment can be done for admission confirmation.

In order to submit the application form successfully, candidates are required to pay the application fee amount. Faculty of Law, University of Calcutta LLM application fee is INR 500 for the general and EWS category candidates. Additionally, the fee is INR 250 for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD categories. The course fee can be paid via the provided bill desk link.

The admission process for the PG course is almost completed. Calcutta University Law Entrance Test (CULET-UG) 2024 was conducted on Aug 18. This exam date is as per a notification released by the university. Moreover, for the 2024 admission, the e-counselling rounds were scheduled on Aug 30, 2024,  Sep 9, 2024 and Sep 13, 2024, as per unofficial sources.
