Hi.At the UG level, Satyam Fashion Institute provides a 4 years B.Des. in Fashion Design course to the students.Eligibility  criteria for B.Des. in Fashion Design at Satyam Fashion Institute:Those who have passed or who will be appearing for (10+2) or equivalent of any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi during the current academic year.Satyam Fashion Institute conducts an entrance exam in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in the month of April /May each year.CET comprises of Creative Ability Test (CAT) 60%, General Ability Test (GAT) 10% and Situation Test 10% . Aspirants appear for the Personal Interview ( 20%) round post CET on the same day .Thanks

Both are beneficial if you plan precisely beforehand. As India has already globally reputed premiere institute like national institute of fashion technology (N.I.F.T.) in which holds very good rank among best 50 institutes in world to study fashion and allied subjects combining core design, technology and management subjects which are excellent ones . And also NIFT is the best institute in whole Asian region and holds number 1 position in India since decades and its start. It has till now produced several good designers, brand managers, creative engineers ( fashion technology specialisation ), technical designers, technical executives and managers who are emerging as pioneers in their field of expertise and fashion business.

There are many vocational short term courses that are provided by government as well private institutions in fashion technology.You may look at the NIFT website for continuing education page where they have at least 1yr programme in fashion design.Also ATDC has a pan India network which is registered under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles that provide 6 months to 2 years of various courses in fashion design. These will even cost you much less than its private counterparts.Apart from these government institutions, Many private institutes like Pearl Academy, JD fashion school provide short term courses in Fashion.Hope this will help you find the right course and pursue a career.
