Note that during COVID 19, the mock tests were used as a tool to help candidates get accustomed to the application and the process as the NIFT 2022 exam was held as a remote-based exam. Consequently, the mock tests were made mandatory, given candidates were appearing in the exam from their homes or a place of their picking. The mock tests in such circumstances helped to test internet strength, speed, reliability, check camera quality, for recording the test, etc. But in the last edition of the NIFT exam, the CAT and GAT written exams were conducted in a centre-based mode. The mock tests for NIFT, if conducted, will have the following benefits:
The mock tests will acquaint the candidates with the functionalities of the exam. In case the NIFT exam is conducted in remote-proctored mode (like during the COVID times), the mock tests will help test the hardware and software compliance required for the exam. The mock tests will give an idea about the types of questions asked in the actual exam. By taking sufficient mock tests, the candidate will be able to get quickly into exam mode, learn how to handle different situations, manage time-management, etc.

Note that no mock tests were held for NIFT 2023 exam. However, if in the future mocks are held, the candidate will have to go to NIFT admission portal and click on the mock test link. Then follow the following steps given below to take the NIFT 2024 mock tests:
Clicking on the mock test link will re-direct you to a log-in page
Enter your Roll number
On successful log-in, the mock test will appear on the screen
Go through the guidelines
Start the mock tests.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) didn't conduct any mock tests for NIFT 2023 exam. It may be noted that in the previous edition, mock tests were held to help the candidate get acquanited with the NFT 2022 exam format, which was held in a remote-proctored mode. So, it is unlikely that NIFT will conduct any mock tests for NIFT 2024 exam. Note that the NIFT 2024 exam will be conducted in a centre-based mode. The Creative Ability Test CAT will be held offline, while the General Ability Test GAT will be conducted in a computer-based mode.

Yes, candidates did face some technical issues during the GAT paper. Affected candidates either weren't able to complete the paper or not able to attempt the paper at all. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) conducted fresh exams for these candidates. Note that fresh exam for the GAT paper was conducted for students in these exam centres:

The NIFT 2023 written exam included a number of questions related to shapes and lines. There was a also a question on compic strip, which was pretty easy. The GAT paper included a number of paragraph-based questions. Also, the paper has more questions on English and very few questions on GK. One question from the GK section was related to ISRO. Logical reasoning, which included the maximum number of questions, included a number of math-based questions. The CAT paper included questions related to letterboxes, phones, an automobile, etc.

NTA will release the FINAL answer key of NIFT 2025 in April 2025.The final key will be released after considering complaints filed by candidates against the provisional key. Consequently, no further objections against the final key will be entertained. This means, the keys given in the final key will be considered to be the correct keys to all the questions asked in the NIFT 2025 exam.The candidate can use the keys given in the final answer key to precisely calculate their expected scores.

When the NIFT 2025 answer key was released for the GAT paper, the candidate was also be given the option to file objections.Objections had to be filed online through the candidate portal. The candidate had to furnish proper proof supporting their claims.If the challenge filed by the candidate is found to be correct and the answer key is incorrect, the admission committee will delete the key. Also, the correct key (s) is released in the final key. Note that the scores of the candidate will be calculated using the revised key only.However, the fee paid by the candidate will not be refunded.

The NIFT exam may have multiple question booklet series, namely - Booklet Series A, Booklet Series F, Booklet Series L, Booklet Series R, etc.Note that the candidate must download answer keys corresponding to their own booklet series. Typically, the booklet series contain the same questions, but the questions are arranged differently. So, unless the candidate downloads the answer keys corresponding to the relevant booklets series, the keys will not match. And if that happens, the candidate will not be able to accurately calculate the probable scores.
