The Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune, provides admission to fashion design courses on the basis of SEED. To get admission to Symbiosis Pune for fashion design, the procedure is as follows:
1. You will have to register at the official website of SID, Pune, for SEED 2023.
2. Thereafter, you will need to qualify for a written exam, which is conducted in online mode.
3. This test has 150 questions and is of 2.5 hours' duration.
4. After this, you will be required to upload your portfolio for the portfolio review round.
5. In this round, you will have to upload your work, such as sketches, illustrations, or photographs, to be reviewed by the panel.
6. If shortlisted, you will be called for the final Personal Interview round.
7. The weighted average of the three stages' scores is 40 + 40+20, and top-scoring candidates are denied admission to SID. To get admission to the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) for B. Des. Courses, you have to qualify for the SEED exam. The applicants are qualified to take the SEED exam if they fulfill the following criteria:
1. You have completed your 12th grade or equivalent in any stream.
2. You have a Diploma approved by the State Board of Technical Education with a minimum score of 50%.
3. You can apply if you are appearing for the final-year exams, but only on the condition that your final exam results will be declared by June of the admission year.
4. If you fail your Class 12 exam but pass the immediate compartmental exam on your first attempt, you are eligible for provisional admission to SID.
5. There is no age limit to apply for SEED.

The SEED exam is administered by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) in order to admit students to its design courses. The updated SEED exam pattern is as follows for the 2023 admission cycle:
1. The exam consists of three stages: a written exam, a portfolio review, and personal interaction.
2. The written exam is conducted in online mode and has 150 multiple-choice questions.
3. The time to complete the written test is 2.5 hours, and one mark is allotted to each question.
4. There is no negative marking for a wrong answer in the SEED online test.
5. Applicants for the Portfolio Review must upload their portfolios to the official college website.
6. The portfolio will be reviewed by panel and may contain Sketches, mixed-media illustrations, art-inspired products etc.
