LPU School of Design gives its students cutting-edge labs and equipment to imitate the industry environment with real exposure to the fashion business straight from design to merchandising. Lovely Professional University is regarded as one of the best design institutes in India and Punjab. My cousin sister is pursuing a degree in Design (Fashion) at LPU. She and I talked about a few things related to her course:-
She informed me. Fashion design is a broad field with a lot of opportunities, and LPU provides a lot of exposure to students through guest speakers from industry leaders, different on-campus and off-campus fashion shows, and their own store where students' works are displayed and sold. Students can use the school as a testing ground for new ideas, patterns, fabrics, and colours. Live fashion events, visits from prominent national and worldwide fashion designers, and every step of the way, students are encouraged to be innovative and creative. They're encouraged to use a variety of materials to create creative clothing and accessories. Also Fashion displays, craft fairs, industry internships, and craft documentation are all available to students. For students to display their artistic talents, the School of Design held a Face Painting and Nail Painting competition. She took part in a class on "Fashion style" led by Anuj Lalawani (recognised Designer & Stylist), where students learned about body fit, make-up, dressing, and grooming. She participated in educational tours to supplement her classroom studies. Students go across India to SEE monuments and industries such as marble quarries, tile quarries, Thermax quarries, Ashok Leyland, and Tata Motors. She discussed job placements. As a result, LPU is an excellent platform for placements in all streams and programmes. LPU has a distinct department that handles job placements. Aside from that, each school has its own placement coordinator who is in charge of not only bringing employers to campus, but also preparing students for placements by providing appropriate training. Students from LPU have been hired by well-known national and international apparel brands such as H & M.

FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY Acquire photographic skills for creative visualization and representation. FASHION STYLING This course aims at the innovative application of styling and grooming concepts. The student will work individually or in groups to apply the concepts of grooming and styling to create impeccable looks and lookbooks. INDUSTRIAL TRAINING The course enables a student to work with industry for a full term, where the student shall apply the skills learned during his entire design programme. INTERNATIONAL IMMERSION programme Students will have international exposure to institutes, industries, and corporate. It helps students find new grounds for learning overseas. KNITWEAR DESIGN The course shall equip students with understanding and application of photography following the fashion industry
LINGERIE DESIGN The course imparts the skill of developing patterns and construction of lingerie with knit and stretchable fabric. It imparts special construction skills for lingerie wear. This course is important because of recent expansion in the field of the lingerie market and gives new employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to the students. PERIOD COSTUME WORKSHOP Develop period costumes for films, theater, and other visual media. SEMINAR ON SUMMER INTERNSHIP, STUDY TOUR-CRAFT STUDY AND DEVELOPMENT, VISUAL MERCHANDISING, WORKSHOP ON FASHION ACCESSORIES are also held. There are workshops, shows, field visits, industry visits held from time to time to pad up the theoretical training with practical. The highest salary offered for the course was 5lpa and the average was 3.1 LPA. There is an availability of international forecast WGSN for trend forecasting at LPU. The university has the latest machinery & soft wares to keep students at the cutting edge of technology.
