Fashion and Clothing Technology course at NIFT, Kolkata is a one year duration course with a total intake of 30 seats. The course fee is about Rs 1,00,300 and the eligibility criteria is 10+2.
This is a short duration and part time evening/week end course designed for working professionals. Hence, there is no age limit.

Hi Vidya, You can restart your career in fashion merchandising. For this, you do not need to do another course. Even if you have not worked for some time. Or I would suggest you should do graphic designing instead of CAD. CAD is inclusive in Graphuc Design. This will help you further in your Career. I recommend you first find a job (you will get it) and then do an additional course to enhance your profile.

Yes, there are many short-term (6 months) fashion related courses available and offered by top and medium ranked fashion institutes. This short term courses help those who are already working in fashion industry or who want to start up their small scale business. But to get a decent job you need to have at least a fashion degree or a diploma course of minimum 1 year.
