There is a plethora of opportunities waiting to embrace a fashion designer. Some of the options include (as said by Vanshika, a makeup artist), starting your own studio/ brand/ label, assisting a renowned designer and becoming a part of their team, working with a retail brand or an export house. You can also do styling or can work as an illustrator or can opt for visual Merchandising/ Window display etc.

NIFT is a great and reputed institute, no doubt, but it is not at all compulsory to join NIFT .Designing is a field where it needs creativity and a platform to showcase it. There are many more institution like NID, pearl, INIFD, J D institute and the list goes on. Yes, there are more chance to get exposure when you join an elite institute but then it depends on your finance as well. And, if you have creativity in you, you can join any reputed institute in India and participate in designing competition to achieve more.
