The major difference is, a textile designer creates the pattern, designs for fabric and also develops fabric. The textile designers also do embellishment of fabrics. They have to select yarn, colour for the yarn, and dyes for making new fabrics. The Fashion designers, on the other hand, use the fabric developed by the textile designer to create new designs for clothes.
