Choosing the right course in fashion designing is about what you really want to learn. Both B.Sc. in Fashion and Design and B.Des. in Fashion are good options, and it depends on what you are looking for. As far as I know, Chandigarh University (CU) offers both these courses, and they are super amazing for anyone who loves fashion. The B.Sc. in Fashion and Design is a three-year course, and you just need 50% in your 12th grade to get started. It's a good choice if you want to dive into fashion quickly and get the basics covered. On the other hand, the B.Des. in Fashion is perfect if you want a deep understanding of fashion, from making c

Both government and private colleges have their own benefits but as per my own opinion, Government colleges can be good with low fees and experienced faculty, but private colleges often provide better facilities, modern labs, and updated courses. And I know one such private university which is really amazing, the university has also been ranked No.1 private university in India in QS Asia University Rankings 2025 and is 20th in NIRF 2024. The university recently won the prestigious MAKA trophy. The university is ranked among the best fashion design colleges in Punjab, India. The university gives students the freedom to choose specia

Fees structure depends upon different university to university and you are mentioning a specific fee structure but you haven't mentioned which university or college. Hostel fees are often separate, based on the facilities provided like AC or non-AC rooms, mess charges, and additional services. Talking about my experience, I studied at Chandigarh University and I found it offers a well-rounded environment for students. The fashion designing program there is quite impressive, with advanced labs and tools like Juki sewing machines, dyeing, and printing labs, and CAD labs for digital design. They even focus on practical learning with

Every college has its own fee structure and unique features for fashion designing courses. Choosing the right one depends on what you are looking for, like affordable fees, facilities, or career options. So, as you want to do fashion design with less fees I would suggest you to go for Chandigarh University. The semester fee is 96,000 INR, which is reasonable considering the facilities and opportunities and you know what by giving Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) you can also avail multiple scholarships, so your fees will be reduced more. The university don't charge extra for fests, competitions, or events.
