If you have got the admission in NIFT then don't just miss out the opportunity. Go ahead and pursue the course. Excel in your field and be the best designer amongst all as that is something that will take you to the great heights.
What matters in the end is your skills and not your institute.

It is very difficult to compare two diverse career options. Both Designing and Software have equal success and failure stories. You must chose career based on your interests to excel.

Yes you can pursue a distance course or can take direct admission, but fashion designing and pharmacy both are difficult to do parallely. Only go for both at a time when you will be confident enough to handle the pressure of them. All the best
