To be able to take admission in FTII Pune - one needs to be a graduate with any stream.
The admission is through entrance exam.
Courses available (all are PG Diploma courses) are:
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Direction & Screenplay Writing
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Cinematography
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Sound Recording and Sound Design
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Editing
Two Year Post Graduate Diploma in Acting
Three Year Post Graduate Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design
One Year Post Graduate Diploma in Feature Film Screenplay Writing
One Year Post Graduate Certificate Course in TV Direction

The eligibility criteria for admission to direction, cinematography, editing, acting and feature film screenplay writing is that the candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
For admission to audiography course the candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with Physics as a subject at Sr. Sec(10+2)level.
Admission to art direction and production design requires a candidate to have a Bachelor's degree in architecture/ painting/ applied art/ sculpture/ interior design or related fields in fine arts or equivalent Diploma.

The Training and Placement Unit of the Institute is responsible for providing world class job opportunities to the undergraduate and postgraduate students after graduation for suitable jobs in the industry and various private and public sector organizations.
