Dear, If you are seriously focused to become a TV anchor, then I don't recommend you for going a full time Bachelor or master programme of media course. You can do short-term course of TV production and TV anchoring. Then, you just join as intern in news channel, so that you can get exact and real exposure of anchoring. Because I think, no institute will give you a real exposure of anchoring which is done by professionals in news channels. They exactly know the difficulties of this area and how to overcome all such things. So, real exposure can get through only internship in any news channel.

Hi, I wouldn't really suggest a distance learning course in Print & TV journalism - because it wouldn't give you the desired practical knowledge, which is a must. Journalists aren't paid really well - so if you're expecting engineer/doctor-like salaries, this isn't for you. But that being said, you'll be able to have a decent living with the remuneration they're given.

Dear, According to my experience, I always suggest for a job to the students of mass comm after the graduation or Masters or other course. Because no one campus can give you actual industry exposure in their premises only which you can get in industry during your job. Even with you job, you can continue your higher study on distance learning. Because our media industry wants practical experience. It doesn't matter either you qualify your exams of degree through regular course or distance one. Yes, a student with PCM background can apply for BAJMC programme in good Universities. But, what is imperative is to understand what being a journalist entails. Curiosity, willingness to work hard, storytelling and using "Why chaining" when it comes to news. It is a creative line of work that involves being in line with current affairs and a sense of objectivity and facts. If you feel you love all these aspects, then journalism is an amazing choice. My advice would be to focus on being a good well-read journalist before you think of being an TV anchor. All top notch TV news anchor you see today are first journalists.

Both are great career in their respective fields, RJ is one who entertain people by his voice only and TV anchor who hosts the show in front of camera. For TV anchor you need to learn mass communication and acting courses, whereas for RJ their are some institute (you can find on our home page) which give you training in RJying. RJ can lead you to TV anchor as well. Regards.

Hello,
There are some good colleges in India who provide good acting courses such as FTII NSD, SRfTI, SRPA, etc. You will learn the all aspects of acting from these institutions and join theater, do plays, observe people, read books, watch movies which is performance oriented and give audition for film and TV, crack it and be a good actor.
