No, GMAT is not required for pursing Master's in Finance in Germany. If you are an international student who desires to pursue Finance in Germany, you will have to meet the eligibility criteria listed below:Bachelor's degree from a recognised university/college (in relevant field);GPA of 3.0 and above;Work experience (if required);Proof of English language proficiency;Resume / CV;Motivation letters;Statement of Purpose (SOP);Letter of Recommendation (LOR);Admission Essays;German language proficiency (if the course is taught partially/fully in the German language); andOther university-specific requirements.

MS does not require work experience, MBA does. You may check DAAD India website to know about the universities for MS in Finance.

You have to decide whether it's MBA or M.Sc since both are different and admission requirements also vary accordingly. To pursue MBA, you must have work experience of about 2 years. M.Sc can be done without any work experience. Different colleges have slightly different deadlines but January and July are basically the main admission intakes. You should refer to the DAAD and university-ASSIST websites. This is also a good time to take the test, you should finish the tests by September if possible.
