MBA is one of the superior degrees. So, I don't think that you need any extra education after it. Moreover, your college will help you in finding the best possible opportunities.

Placements offered by Thiagrajar School of Management are comparatively lesser than what BIMM offers. This year out of 20 just 14 students got placed in Honeywell for the post of finance analyst for 5 LPA.

If you are focused on core finance jobs, scenario is fairly average in Thiagarajar School of Management. You will get a job in finance through ENY, Honeywell, City Union Bank.
This year 2016-18 placement scenario for Honeywell:
Location of Work - Madurai Honeywell
Nature of Work - Finance
Role - Finance Analyst
CTC - 5 LPA fixed, negotiable for experienced candidates.
14 people have got selected out of around 20 applied.

If you want to go in banking then pursue for competitive bank exams rather than PGDM in finance. PGDM will provide education more about finance sector in which banking has little part. Banking competitive preparation will help you get into banking sector easily.
