Everything is all about eligibility criteria and to be eligible for M.Sc. Food and nutrition candidate should have passed graduation from a recognised university with 55% of marks. The field should include Food Science, Biology Chemistry Biochemistry, Home Science, Nutrition, Dietetics, Clinical Biochemistry and Life Sciences.

You are doing two unrelated courses so the job prospects are also different. For the NHE profile you must have some Science-related background. I suggest be focused first on which track you want to continue.

Hi. There are various M.Sc. Food and nutrition entrance tests, so please mention the test you're referring to, to know the exact syllabus. Some books that will help you to prepare for almost all tests are-
Food and Nutrition by Dr. M Swaminathan
Objective Food Science by Sanjeev Kumar Sharma
Food Science by B Srilakshmi. All the best!
