 Baking, one of the oldest professions in the world, is a very dynamic and innovative culinary technique used for making bread and confectioneries. Baking is the process of cooking food through dry heat which is usually done in an oven, hot ashes or hot stones. It is a specialized field that requires a thorough understanding of cooking techniques and sticking to precise recipes. There are educational options available to those who seek to earn a higher degree for a more advanced trade. In this industry, salaries, job growth rates, and work duties vary drastically for several food production service positions. Job offers for top chefs in 5/7 Star hotels are in lakhs and confectionery and bakery is also a part of it. Hence, Food Production is a better option.

Front office yo food production, both the departments are very different from each other and choosing one of them totally depends on the interest of the candidate, that what they like the most. I will discuss both the departments in brief so you can get an idea about both the departments.
Front office department is the first touch point of the hotel to the guest, operations which are carried away by front office are, welcoming of the guests, check-in of the guest and the documentation needed at the time of check-in and escorting the guest to the room.
On the other hand, food production is the department which deals with the production of the food, doing all the pre-preparation of the food like peeling, cutting of vegetables and meats.
If you have a passion to meet and talk to the people from different culture and race and willing to be the face of the hotel then you should choose the front office.
If you are passionate about your food and are creative then go for food production.
Both the departments are equally important.
