Biomedical engineering: BME is a course which is basically electrical and electronics engineering and Instrumentation engineering concepts applied in medical field. Any person who has successfully completed his or her 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics with minimum 50% marks is eligible to pursue this course. So you don't need to write JEE.

Candidates who have cleared Class XII or its equivalent from a recognised board fulfill Anna University eligibility criteria for UG courses. Candidate who have given any other examination (apart from JEE) of any other authority accepted by the syndicate of the Anna University as equivalent there to are also eligible to apply.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST, the age limit is relaxable by three years.
Counselling :-
Anna University admissions in BE/ B.Tech/ B.Arch courses are done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counseling based on the marks obtained in 10+2.
