HBTI has a good name in market and placement cell is also apparently working well. As per my information, close to 100% placement is achieved in this institute.

Food technology is the current hot topic and Amity has quite a good name. I think, it is a good idea to get admission in Amity for food technology.

Yes, one should have Science with (PCM OR PCB) subjects to pursue B.Tech in food technology programme. Many universities do accept PCB subjects too for the same.
Either you need to sit for JEE or entrance exam of a particular university in which you want to apply.
