If you are doing B.Tech from a private University than ICAR accreditation is mandatory for pursuing PG in Food Technology from ICAR accredited colleges. The ICAR accreditation is not necessary for government. Or Public funded colleges for pursuing B.Tech Food technology course.

Hello Shylaja, You can do B.Tech in food technology in an IIT and in many colleges in Karnataka also. So you will have to appear for JEE Mains first get clear and then appear for JEE Advanced also for getting admission in IIT. Similarly you need to appear in KCET for getting admission in colleges in Karnataka. The eligibility criteria is varying according to Colleges. However the eligibility criteria of LPU and Chandigarh Universities are given below for an idea. Eligibility criteria of B.Tech Food Technology of LPU : Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST.
