Manipur Government at regular interval publishes recruitment of Forest Rangers against available vacancies in leading newspapers or their websites. Selection is based on written exam followed by interview/ Viva Voce, Physical Test, & Medical Test.
Eligibility Criteria is as follows: The candidate must have passed Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Science or engineering from any university recognized by the state Government or Central Government with at least one of the following subjects:
1. Agriculture
2. Botany
3. Chemistry
4. Computer Application/ Computer Science

You are advised to appear for Indian Forest Services Examination conducted by UPSC to become a Class I forest officer in central government. Eligibilty criteria to appear for Indian Forest Services Examination is as follows: " A Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely, animal husbandry & veterinary science, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics, and zoology or a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or forestry or engineering of a recognized university or equivalent."
