To be eligible to apply for a two-year FPM course at MICA, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as per the course requirement before applying. The aspirant must have a PG degree with passing scores of minimum 55% aggregate in their last qualifying exam. The postgraduation must be done in the field of either Management/ Communications/ Humanities/ Social Science.

The institute offers one of the best financial stipends to PhD scholars. Apart from the stipend, a total contingency grant of INR 80,000 and a conference grant of a total INR 2,50,000 shall also be provided to FPM scholars to support their fieldwork, books purchase, research paper presentations etc. Moreover, MDI Gurgaon offers scholarships to FPM candidates for a maximum of four-year to non-MBA candidates and three-year to MBA candidates. The scholarship amount is INR 60,000 per month.

Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a doctoral-level course of a duration of three-year. In this course, apart from the coursework, candidates also have to submit a thesis at the end of the course. MDI Gurgaon offers FPM in two tracks: Residential and Non-Residential. Candidates are shortlisted for final selection based on scores in CAT/GMAT/GRE/UGC-JRF. Shortlisted candidates have to take part in the interview round.

Apart from a full-time residential FPM course, XLRI also offers an Executive Fellow Programme in Management (Ex-FPM), a non-residential doctoral course. The course duration of both FPM and Ex-FPM is four years. XLRI admission to both these courses is based on valid XAT/UGC-JRF/NET/GMAT/GRE/GATE scores.
