Hi,
If you want to become a lecturer, a regular course is mandatory. Distance learning will not give you the competence or skills that are required for becoming a lecturer. Also, the colleges would not prefer to hire someone who has pursued education through correspondence. A regular course is always given preference and is considered valid against a distance course.

Hi Prem Singh,
Completing a degree course is one of the eligibility criteria to take IAS exam. So, I wonder how you can take the exam without completing it.

Hi Susnata!
You can pursue a PGD in Mass Communication or Journalism. There is no restriction for a candidate to take admission in this course. A person from any discipline is eligible to apply for the course. You will need to appear for an entrance exam which will be a general aptitude test, which will determine your admission. Upon completion of the course, you can select a genre of journalism of your choice, which in your case is travel. You can find a list of top colleges offering a PGD in Mass Communication by referring to this link:

Currently, distance education does not have a good scope. You cant get a job directly after completing distance MBA, it will just add to your knowledge. If you already in a job and need an increment then only distance MBA is a good option else drop it. As a Mass, it is quite possible that you will get a job, but as per the current competition, it is a little tough, but it does't mean it does not have value at all.

Pursuing full-time M.Tech degree with a job is not possible instead what you can do is that you ask your employer to allow you to work for home or provide you flexible working hours so that you work after the college hours.
