Game development companies are quite similar to software development companies. They are very strict about both the skill-set as well as your educational qualifications. Skipping 10+2 is the first and the most critical mistake you will be doing in your life if you wish to have a career in the game industry. No need to pursue animation for game designing because game designing contains everything regarding design in itself.

If you truly have interest in game then I suggest you to do gaming engineering and then gaming development because these both gives you high package than other two.
