Candidates can start by gathering all related information related to the syllabus, exam patterns and guidelines and collect all the data related to it. Students can practice mock tests of the previous year's question papers and check them with the answer keys.

The maximum mark for the GAT (PG) is 200. Each question shall carry two marks and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Hence, candidates should mark the answer only when they are sure about it.

A total of 100 questions will be asked in the exam wherein 40 questions will be asked from Quantitative Aptitude and 25 questions each from Reasoning and Verbal Ability and 10 questions from English.  Each correct answer is given 2 marks and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Candidates will get two hours to solve all the questions.

In GAT PGT for each correct answer, students will get 2 marks while for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Since there is negative marking the candidates must be careful while answering. They should read and understand the question thoroughly and then answer it.

Yes, candidates should study all the topics indicated in the syllabus. And they can refer to the previous years' question papers to know about the trending topics. If is better to learn all the topics included in the syllabus to know the answer for all the questions.

Following are the subjects included in the GAT PGT syllabus - Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Verbal Ability and English. A total of 100 questions will be asked in GAT wherein 40 questions will be asked from Quantitative Aptitude and 25 questions each from Reasoning and Verbal Ability and 10 questions from English.

GITAM GAT PGT 2025 application has been released on the official website. The application mode is online. The last date to submit the GAT PGT form is March 27, 2025. Candidates can visit the official website and apply for the exam. The direct link to apply for the exam is available on this page.

A student is allowed to participate in an GAT exam only once for each course and during a single phase. GITAM considers re-appearing as an unfair practice of submitting duplicate applications. Credentials for re-appearing students will not be provided, and such applications will be filtered at various stages of the admissions process. This includes checks such as using the same registered email address multiple times and other parameters
